Privacy Policy

Who we are
Homestretch is operated by HomeStretch LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, 4539 N 22nd St, Ste N, Phoenix, AZ 85016. You can reach us at hello@homestretchexit.com. In this policy, "Homestretch," "we" and "us" mean HomeStretch LLC.
What we collect
- Quiz information. Your answers to the Buyer's-Eye Score, your email address, and basic details such as your industry, revenue range and when you plan to sell.
- Order and intake information. If you buy a Valuation Snapshot, Exit Readiness Plan or Value Plan, the answers you give in the intake questionnaire, including financial, customer, employee, property and goal information about your business, and any documents you upload.
- Communications. Emails you send us and our replies, and records of the emails we send you.
- Technical information. Basic usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and the website or campaign that brought you here. We use privacy-focused analytics and a short-lived browser setting (session storage) to remember which link you arrived from. We do not run advertising trackers.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To produce your score, reports and plans, and to send them to you.
- To contact you about your order, answer your questions, and send follow-up emails about getting your business ready to sell. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in each email.
- To improve the quiz, reports and website.
- To create anonymous benchmarks and industry reports from de-identified results (see Anonymous benchmarks below).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
How AI is used
We use an AI service from Anthropic, set up with the approach Matt has built over 15 years of buying businesses, to help draft scores, generate follow-up questions and prepare summary reports from the information you provide. Matt uses those drafts to create the reports he delivers to you. Your information is sent to Anthropic only to produce your work. Under Anthropic's current commercial terms, it does not use that information to train its models. AI can make mistakes, which is one reason a person prepares and approves what you receive and why our reports are planning guidance, not an appraisal.
If you use the buyer practice call, what you type is sent to Anthropic to produce the buyer's replies and your debrief. These are generated by AI and are not reviewed by a person as you go. We save the conversation, your debrief and any rating you leave, keep them for up to 24 months after your last activity, and may use your earlier calls to show your progress on a later one. Matt may read saved calls to improve the service. You can delete a call yourself at the end of it, or email hello@homestretchexit.com and we will delete it.
Anonymous benchmarks
We may combine quiz and intake results from many owners into benchmarks, such as how businesses in an industry score on average. We may publish them in reports, on our website, and to partners such as trade associations and advisors. Before we use results this way we remove your name, email address, business name and any detail that could identify you, and we only show a result for a group of at least 25 owners. We never publish documents you upload or anything about a single business. If you would rather your results not be included, email hello@homestretchexit.com and we will leave them out.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Homestretch, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, security and analytics.
- Supabase, for our database and private file storage.
- Resend and Google Workspace, for sending and receiving email.
- Anthropic, for AI drafting as described above.
- Stripe, for payment processing.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case we would tell you.
B2 Partners and its affiliates do not receive your quiz, intake or document information from us without your written consent. B2 is not given a right to buy your business because you use Homestretch.
How long we keep it
We keep quiz results, marketing records and practice call conversations, debriefs and ratings for up to 24 months after your last activity. We keep order, intake, document and report records for up to 7 years after your order so we can support you and meet legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to those obligations.
Security
Your documents are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible, and access to our administrative tools is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything you do not need to. If you would rather not upload a document, tell us and we will find another way.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by writing to us. We will still send messages about an order you have placed.
- Ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@homestretchexit.com.
Where this applies
Homestretch is for owners of businesses in the United States. We do not offer it in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people there. If you are in one of those places, please do not use the site or give us your information. If you believe we hold information from you, email hello@homestretchexit.com and we will delete it.
Children
Homestretch is for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email.
